Match the film to the format
Supplements are not one category. Capsules and tablets are stable and forgiving. Powders are the most moisture-sensitive and need a strong foil barrier plus a wide seal. Gummies are the hardest — they sweat, stick and migrate, so they need a food-grade liner, individual sachets or a well-sealed pouch with desiccant, and a box that does not assume the pouch is the only protection.
The supplement packaging stack
- Sealed pouch or bottle for barrier and dosing
- Printed folding carton for brand, shelf presence and stacking
- Supplement facts panel with serving size and warnings, laid out legibly
- Batch code and lot traceability on every unit
- Tamper-evident seal or induction closure
- QR code to COA or product page
Low MOQ for new formulas
A new supplement formula often changes after the first production run — dose, flavor, even the container. A low MOQ of 50 printed cartons lets a wellness brand launch one SKU without warehousing packaging for a formula that may be revised, then reprint at volume once the label and format are proven.
