Every component is a decision
A rigid setup box looks like one object but is engineered from five: chipboard walls, a wrap paper, a closure, an insert and finishing. Luxury perception comes from each being specified deliberately — and the box feeling like one designed object rather than an assembled kit.
The full specification
- Caliper — 1.2mm to 3mm chipboard by product weight and price point
- Wrap — textured art paper, linen, soft-touch or a printed wrap
- Closure — magnetic lid, ribbon-pull, drawer or hinged
- Insert — EVA foam cavities, velvet lining or moulded pulp for a recyclable option
- Finishing — foil monograms, embossing, spot UV on the wrap
- Fit — the lid’s friction engineered so opening is deliberate, not loose
Low MOQ for limited editions
Luxury runs are often small by design — limited editions, capsule collections, gifting programs. A low MOQ of 50 rigid boxes lets a premium brand produce a genuine luxury box for a limited run without the traditional five-figure setup, and reprint the edition with tooling stored when it sells through.
