Unit price is not cost
The number that matters is landed cost: everything you pay to have usable packaging at your pack-out station. A quote with a low unit price and no freight, tooling or waste line is not a cheaper quote — it is an incomplete one. Comparing suppliers on unit price alone is how brands end up paying more in total.
The lines a complete quote shows
- Unit price at your quantity, with the price break at the next tier shown
- Tooling and plates — charged once, then stored free for reorders
- Freight to your actual address, including residential vs dock delivery
- Waste allowance — the extra units every run includes for setup and make-ready
- Finishing priced per element so cuts are visible
- Payment terms and what happens if a launch date slips
Where cheap quotes hide cost
Missing freight until the invoice, tooling recharged on every reorder, no waste allowance so a short run arrives 3% light, and quotes that exclude the dieline and proof steps that prevent a misprint. Our quotes are itemised on one document — boxes, tooling, freight and lead time — so the number you approve is the number you pay.
