The one-to-many problem
A crowdfunding campaign, a PR seeding list, a conference giveaway — all produce the same pattern: one production run of identical boxes, then hundreds of individual deliveries. The failure mode is printing 500 boxes and discovering your garage is now a shipping department. The fix is planning the distribution model before the run, not after.
The three distribution models
- Self-ship — you, a label printer and a courier pickup; cheapest per unit, costs your time
- A 3PL batch — boxes and contents delivered to a fulfillment partner who picks, packs and ships per address
- Direct-from-manufacturer kitting — we kit and deliver sealed, labeled units to your 3PL or courier in one freight move
Design for the last address
A box that ships to a consumer’s door needs different engineering than one shipped in bulk to a warehouse: a one-piece mailer rated for individual parcel handling, a fitted insert, and a tear strip for a clean opening on a doorstep. We specify the box for the last leg it will travel — because in a seeding run, every box takes the last leg.
